Monel 400
Monel 400 is a kind of corrosion resistant alloy with the largest amount, the most widely used and excellent overall properties. This alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in hydrofluoric acid and fluorine gas medium, and also has excellent corrosion resistance to hot concentrated lye. At the same time, it is also resistant to corrosion of neutral solution, water, seawater, atmosphere, organic compounds, etc. An important feature of the alloy is that it generally does not produce stress corrosion cracks and has good cutting performance.

The alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in fluorine gas, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid and their derivatives. At the same time, it is more resistant to corrosion in seawater than copper-based alloys. Acid medium: In the concentration of less than 85% of sulfuric acid is corrosion resistant. Monel400 is one of the few important materials that can resist hydrofluoric acid. Water corrosion: In most cases of water corrosion, Monel400 alloy not only has excellent corrosion resistance, but also pore corrosion and stress corrosion are rarely found, and the corrosion rate is less than 0.025mm/a. High temperature corrosion: The highest temperature of continuous work in the air is generally about 600 ° C, and in high temperature steam, the corrosion rate is less than 0.026mm/a. Ammonia: Due to the high nickel content of the alloy, it can resist the corrosion of anhydrous ammonia and ammoniation conditions below 585℃.
Application Scope Application domain
Alloy is a versatile material that is used in many industrial applications such as seamless water pipes, steam pipes, sea water exchangers and evaporators in power plants, pump shafts and propellers for sea water use equipment, as well as in the nuclear industry for the manufacture of equipment for uranium extraction and isotope separation, and for the manufacture of pumps and valves for the production of hydrochloric acid equipment. In the field of materials, alloys can be used to make seamless pipes, round pipes, welding strips, strips and so on.
